Dentures (battisi)
Dentures (battisi) are removable replacement teeth. A full set replaces all the teeth in a jaw; a partial set fills a few gaps.
- How long does it take?
- 4–5 visits over 3–4 weeks
- Does it hurt?
- No numbing needed
- What about recovery?
- A few weeks to get used to eating and speaking
You might need this if
- Several or all teeth missing
- An old denture that's loose, cracked or painful
- Trouble chewing or speaking clearly

After your treatment
Every mouth is different, so your dentist will give you advice for your own case.
- Take dentures out at night and keep them in water
- Clean them daily with a soft brush, not toothpaste
- If a spot rubs, come in. Don't adjust it yourself
